This weekend was my third and final weekend of Wilderness Instruction and Leadership Development (WILD), a course that I am taking through the UVM Outing Club to train to become an Outing Club Leader. As I went through the course, I had many opportunities to bring my camera along to document the adventures. I did for some of these times, but I also did not bring my camera along for many of the adventures. It is hard to know when to put down the camera and just experience everything firsthand. I see so many beautiful things that I want to document them. However, if I take too many pictures and videos of things, then I am never really experiencing anything firsthand. I am experiencing it through my imagery. There is a great scene in the movie The Secret Life of Walter Mitty which describes my feelings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfjkiTB1fHQ
Regardless of my thoughts, here is a video from the weekend that I created. Enjoy.
