I took this portrait yesterday of this man sitting in Lexington Center. It was my last portrait of the summer. He told me that it is very important to stay out of trouble, because trouble follows you everywhere. Once you get a criminal record, it is very difficult to get a job, he said.
I would like to take this post to reflect on the summer. It was difficult and not always easy to take a portrait every day. Between summer camps and jobs, it was not always easy to make time. However, I was able to hold my promise to take a portrait each day of the year throughout the summer. I plan to continue the project through the end of December, which will complete the year.
