I am planning on asking a new question this week, and perhaps into the week after that. The question is: "What are you most passionate about?"
I met this woman by the Depot in Lexington Center. Although she was setting up a fundraiser, she took the time to pose for a picture and talk a bit. She provided some really thoughtful answers, and what she had to say is definitely going to help shape this project. Here is a quote from our conversation:
"The fabulous things that we have to enjoy in this world: like music, art, lets put in food and wine and chocolate, its never in isolation. It's always involving other people.....It's about community. I would say probably the only thing worth being passionate if I was going to choose something, would be connections with other people and having a decent life. And making communities better."
This went along perfectly with what this project is about: making connections with people. This has been one of the most meaningful people I have spoken to so far, in terms of shaping not only this project but my life as well.
