I met this man in Wellesley today. He talked about the importance of the time he got off work.
"What makes you happiest?"
"Coming home from work everyday. I enjoy Friday nights. Just having time off."
"Based on that answer do you dislike your job?"
"No I don't dislike my job I actually kinda like it...."
This brings up an interesting question. Should a job really be what you love doing? Should you want to "work" all the time? I guess I don't have the answer to this. However, his answer was very thought provoking. Although he still enjoys his job, he values the time he has off from it to do things that he loves (which he answered as being fishing, canoeing, and hiking).
On a side note, this is one of my favorite portraits that I have taken for this project so far. His expression, his beard, everything is priceless. The crispness and quality of the image is what I love as well. His deep blue eyes and the fact that you can see every little detail up to the line between his bifocals make me love this image.
