I strongly believe that good photos are everywhere. You just have to bring your camera to capture them. I got off work and began to walk up Waltham Street before a friend picked me up. I had brought my camera along, because I had not yet taken a portrait. I was walking, when I came upon the Mobil gas station, which had a Dunkin Donuts inside. I went in, and took this man’s picture.
“What is your biggest remaining life goal?”
“To some day start a family.”
“And when did you decide you wanted to have a family?”
“Uhhh…..I don’t know! Never really thought of that…just, I’m 18, some day, going to have a good job and family. Seems normal.”
What I liked most about this man was that he showed a real interest in my project. After I stopped recording, he was curious as to what other people had answered. I told him that I have been getting a lot of similar answers to this, which is one of the main goals of the project: to draw similarities between complete strangers.
