I spoke to this man today. He talked about his biggest regret being a transformation that his church made. Tom is a pastor. When he moved the church to a new location, his church also adopted new values, in terms of letting other ethnicities attend the church, being that it was a Chinese church. Although Tom thought that this would be an easy transformation, the elder members of the church interpreted this new acceptance of other ethnicities into the church as the people being ashamed of their Chinese heritage. Tom regretted this decision because he would have done this transformation in a more peaceful way. It often seems that misunderstandings can be the cause of anger and uneasiness. Tom talking about the misunderstanding that happened at the church, can reflect on other people and how they should hold themselves. If someone feels weird or uncomfortable about something, they should have a talk about it. Organic conversations can often lead to solutions that people might not have arrived upon had they not talked things out.
