Yearning to see some new faces and get a change of pace, I headed to Porter Square. I was unsure if anybody would be outside considering the temperature, but I gave it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised to see that many people were braving the weather. I spotted this man from across the street, and I instantly became curious of his story. He had on a big shiny necklace, or maybe even a harmonica?!? I couldn’t tell which. He walked with purpose, but he somehow seemed lost at the same time. When I approached him, he asked what kind of questions I would be asking. I said basic questions, such as “What was the best part of your day?” After taking his portrait, I opened with this question, but waited for my moment to ask him about his “necklace.”
“If I may ask, what is around your neck?”
“This is actually some brass tubing, which is a supplier of positive energy, which neutralizes some negative energy that’s in some places where the motor…..such as train cars, sometimes the front car of a train and um….it’s healthy, it makes the air a lot more healthy.”
“When did you start wearing that around your neck?”
“Couple of weeks ago.”
“Have you noticed a change?”
“Yeah, I think I have more alertness.”
As you can see from the dialogue, he started to go off in a tangent about where you can find the brass parts. However, after getting back on subject, his explanation for the brass necklace was very interesting and thought provoking. Can this necklace really block out the negative energy? I guess I will have to try for myself.
