It often seems that I will ask a person one question, and they take it to a whole new level. When I asked this man what a defining moment in his life has been, he said. “Well let’s see, the moment I am most proud of….” It seems that people just want to tell their story. I strongly believe that everyone has a story; everyone has something that they are proud of in life. And when you get this from them, when you draw it out of them, it makes them feel good. It makes them feel good that someone else cares about them, and cares about their life. This man was a prime example. He was very proud of when he served as a delegate to the democratic national convention and signing the nomination papers to place Barack Obama into nomination for our president for a second term. When this man spoke, you could hear the excitement in his voice and see it in his eyes. Its really special to see someone get excited about something.
